Naomi did it! She walked for the first time today. She took her first step a little over a month ago at my parents and then has done nothing since. But this morning I saw her shuffle her left foot about an inch. And then she did it twice in a row tonight. But Ed didn't see it. So i tried to set it up so he could see it. I stood her up and made sure she was balanced and then I let go and told her to come to me and she actually did! She took 5 steps! And she has done it about 6 times now. This video is the 3rd time I think. 10 whole steps in the filmed one! It was just on my phone so excuse the poor quality. And watch out on your sound...I get a little loud when I'm excited. ;-)

Happy Easter!
Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter! We enjoyed a wonderful day. I taught my primary kids all about Emma Smith and the first Hymnbook and then we had a wonderful choir program in Sacrament. Tonight we went over to Ed's mom's house and enjoyed a nice dinner with family and then an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Naomi loved how mommy and daddy let her pick up shinny things off the ground. ;-) She also liked sharing them with Grandma! Here are a few pictures...

Victorious!...
My basket of eggs. I got 7 of them...

Ok, so we just thought this was kind of funny. My little nephew wanted to follow the other older cousins downstairs so he tried to slip under the gate and luckily his head was big enough to stop him... He wasn't hurt, just stuck. He did it probably 3 different times in the 3 hours we were there.

And we thought this was funny. It's hard to see but the car on the far right out the front was stopped at the light straddling the line. Kind of like the were going to turn but changed their mind. But when the light turned green, they just drove on still straddling the line for at least a good mile. And it wasn't even an old person.

Anyway... that was our day. Hope you had a good one as well. And thank you Ed for being the camara man!

Birthday Adventures
Ok so these are in no particular order because blogger is stupid like that and mixes them all up and then when you try to rearrange it deletes half of them. But anyway...here are our adventures from Tuesday! And the best part....she didn't get burned at all. Ed and I on the other hand...
Anyway. Enjoy!
This is the very end of the day. She got a singing mailbox from mommy and daddy...
Mmm...strawberry cake!
Oh yeah...This is the life! (I love the look on her face!)

Cake before it was cut...
Loving on Kiki the Koala Bear she got at the gift shop right before we left. (We asked her at home what she wanted to name her Koala and the first thing that came out of her mouth was a high pitched "KI KI". So we decided to name her Kiki. She loves this Koala....
Passed out in the car...We didn't even make it down the hill before she was out.
Ape...
Spider Monkey...
Cheesin' it up with mommy!...
Elephant...
Peacock! She loved this one!
Smile for daddy!
Wild Turkey...
The Rhino was chillin...
I honestly can't remember what this is called now...I know there is one on the lion king though! (Yeah I'm a dork!)...
Kangaroo and a something else...
Giraffe...
Waiting in line for tickets...(45 minutes later we were finally allowed to stand in the line to get in which was another 10 minutes)

Pelican...
Baby bug with her daddy watching the Prairie Dogs...

Yeah so that was a complete mix up of pictures but hopefully you got the idea. It was a blast and Naomi had lots of fun!
Anyway. Enjoy!

Number 1!!!
So I'm such a horrible mom that I'm only now posting this, but Tuesday was Naomi's first birthday! YAY!!! Happy Birthday baby girl! I can't believe how fast this past year went. It has been so amazing to watch her come into this world and learn and grow. She has accomplished so many things. She is so smart! Wednesday was her checkup and she is 22 lbs 3 oz. and 30 in long. And her is 47 cm. So that puts her in the 75th percentile for her height, 50th-75th percentile for her weight and above 95th percentile for her head. Yes, my daughter has a big head! ;-)
Anyway, for her birthday I was so glad it was a nice day and that she was feeling better from her cold and flu that she's had. Daddy and I made her waffles and then we went to the zoo together. She had so much fun. Poor little girl didn't get her morning nap though so instead of going out to lunch afterward we just came home and let her pass out for a few hours. Daddy had to go to work while she was sleeping so when she woke up I sang happy birthday to her and let her eat a piece of strawberry cake I made for her. And then she got to open her gift which was this little fisher price mailbox.
All in all it was a very good day! Although we found out Thursday, when she broke out in hives, that she is allergic to the egg in the cake. But that's ok. She's a trooper and is all better from everything now. So below are some pictures from the zoo and also some of her pictures we had taken at Sears on Monday. Enjoy!

Ok, I'll post the ones from the zoo in the next post.
