My baby is crazy!

So I've decided my baby girl is crazy! Just a few funny things I've noticed over the past week or so...

  • She loves not wearing pants! I'll take them off and she just has a hoot over it. So we've started this thing where when she's not wearing them I'll go around saying "No pants! No pants!" and she just cracks up. I dunno whether to laugh or be worried about the future. But for now I'll laugh cause she's just so cute! ;-)
  • She also loves to only walk on her hands and feet with her butt straight up in the air! I guess maybe another step in getting closer to walk? Dunno.
  • So yesterday after church she decided to climb into her toy basket...toys still in it! She also will ALWAYS stick her binkie in upside down...NO MATTER WHAT! Not that it matter cause the Avent ones work either way, but I think its cute!
  • And lastly....she's trying to make a break for it! I tell you what, the first time I heard that doorknob rattle and it was only 8 at night it scared the crap out of me....especially since Ed doesn't get home til after 10. I thought someone was trying to break in!
  • Oh and I haven't gotten a picture of it...but behind the couch is her favorite place to explore now. :D
I love my baby! I can't believe she's getting so big! Anyway, just thought I'd share a few photo's. Sorry again for the 2005 dates!

Number 3

Naomi's 3rd tooth popped through today! One of the top ones. YAY!!! Thus so much drool today Michelle. :D

Today is also Ed and my 3rd Valentines Day together. Now don't get me wrong...I'm not one to do overly mushy, but I think I would cry if he completely forgot. And I was bummed cause it being Valentines it was one of the busiest days for a massage therapist. But I was gunna surprise him when he got home with a nice Chicken and rice dinner. I had it all ready by 5 thinking he'd be home not long after. But then came 5:30...5:45...6:00...6:30 and so on and still no Ed. I finally had to put dinner in the fridge for fear it would spoil. Part of me was all upset that he wasn't home and the other part was worried that he was dead on the road somewhere. Anyway, a few min after 7, as I am bathing Naomi, I hear him walk in. I kinda just rolled my eyes like "Well there goes our night. It's time to spend 4 hours putting the baby to sleep." (That's how long its been taking us now that she's teething.)

Well, much to my surprise, he came walking in with yellow roses. One for each year we've known each other. He also had a whole HUGE box of chocolates, not just a box of small chocolates, a box of whole chocolate bars. (30 to be exact) Anyway, I gave him a hug and told him his dinner was in the fridge and then I continue to get Naomi ready for bed. Well...after I laid her down, he pulled me aside and surprised me by reading a list of 25 reasons he loves me. Now is that sweet or what!

And I thought he was just hanging out at the hobby shop. Turns out he was writing the list at work. I LOVE MY HUSBAND!

Just thought I'd share...hope everyone else had a great V-day as well.

Eat your heart out Michelle ;-)

So yeah, Michelle brought it to my attention again that it's been like forever and a year and half since I've written on here. Sorry everyone who was trying to keep up on my very uninteresting life. I'm a horrible writer. But here I am! YAY for blogs! So lets see...first and most importantly, Naomi is 10 months old today!!! YAY!!! Where on earth has the time gone. She went to the doctor last month and she was 21 lbs 7.6 oz and 28 in. long. Her second tooth just broke through her gums and is popping out a little, right next to her other one. So she's got the two bottom ones. She is so close to walking. If she's holding on to mommy or daddy's fingers she'll go running everywhere. And she absolutely loves "splash splash" time. (Bath time) As soon as we ask her if she wants to go splash splash she'll get a huge grin, drop to the floor and go crawling in to the bathroom as fast as possible. Then she'll continue banging on the sides of the bathtub until it's full and ready for her to get in. In fact the other day she was trying to reach in to the water and almost went in head first. :D I love my little girl. It's so fun to watch her grow up and learn new things. I just can't believe how fast she is growing. Oh and about 2 weeks ago she got a new big girl carseat! It's a Britax so it will hold her until she's 65lbs...so at the rate she's going that will be about a year. ;-) Here are 2 pictures of her with each of us. They were taken about 2 weeks ago even though the date says they were taken in 2005.

Lets see...Ed is doing well at work. He's in the process of learning hot stone and in just a few more weeks he'll be certified. YAY! He absolutely loves being a massage therapist and I love it too! Oh and he got his own massage chair, so now he's got both a table and chair. So if any of you reading this would like a massage sometime, lemme know and I'll send him your way.

I'm doing ok too. I get a little worn out by weeks end with the schedule Ed and I are doing. But overall I'm doing good. I got a promotion at work so now I am the head RNA (Restorative Nurses Aide). Before I was just a CNA. So now instead of getting residents up and dressed and dealing with the messy briefs, I get to run the dining room and then go do physical therapy with different residents that are on the RNA program. It is a lot less physically straining and although it is stressful it is a different stress that isn't as draining on me. So amazingly enough I usually can get through the day without a nap. Woot! Anyway, I'm really enjoying it.

Other than that, not much is new. Ed and I are primary teachers to the 8 and 9 year olds. That is fun! A handful between them and Naomi, but it is so rewarding.
And that's about it on our end. We are looking forward to going and visiting my parents in Colorado Springs at the end of this month. It will be a quick trip, but a good break for us. And my parents can't be more excited to see their "princess" (Naomi).

Sorry Michelle, none of this is new news to you, but as you would say:

~Peace out~
